Silver tounge rings

Silver tongue rings have been common since tongue rings first became en vogue. However, the term “ring” is used very loosely with these pieces of jewelry, as most examples are actually barbells rather than actual rings. That is not to say that rings do not exist though.

Nearly every piercing studio worth its salt will have a selection of silver tongue rings from which to choose. They are sold in a variety of gauges, generally ranging in gauges 6 through 00. For most people, the smaller diameter gauges are preferred.

Silver tongue rings can also be found in numerous designs. Barbell designs can often be purchased with interchangeable balls, usually of different colors. And of course, as was previously mentioned, they are also available in actual “ring” designs.
